I totally agree with the part about having to get respect where you can. Very glad indeed that your ankle is well healed and that you made this trip safely. Thanks for this travelogue.Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05506127890022621170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-48382735286943495382009-07-01T10:12:28.370-06:002009-07-01T10:12:28.370-06:00The guy had to give an insurance number before the...The guy had to give an insurance number before the Moab guy would even fly out. Here's a link to the Ouray rescue group with their lovely motto "Anyone, anywhere, any time." I would imagine those helicopters rarely get paid, and in tough economic times it all gets tougher.Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00874162149979602139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-56774630722321250352009-07-01T09:27:50.086-06:002009-07-01T09:27:50.086-06:00How could someone get hurt somewhere with a cute s...How could someone get hurt somewhere with a cute sounding name like Mt. Sneffels?
That almost seems vindictive that the local copters won't bail out someone who didn't buy the five dollar card.
Maybe it'd be better if people had the option to pay five bucks upfront or pay a higher price if they needed a rescue.
I'm glad you didn't break anything this time around. :)Namowal (Jennifer Bourne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00384500508934864421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-623157640970750012009-06-30T21:58:57.684-06:002009-06-30T21:58:57.684-06:00Oh my God!!!
