It was written by a former sideshow pitchman and has all sorts of stuff about old sideshows and performers. If you can't find a copy I'll lend you mine.
I've seen Freaks a few times, but not recently. What turned you off the second time around? Too corny?
I completely believe that the carny cranked up the ride! Some are mean. My friend was once on "The Zipper" when the kid in the car above threw up. My friend was the main "target." The ride operator saw what happened- and heard him hollering to stop the ride. Guess who didn't stop the ride?Namowal (Jennifer Bourne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00384500508934864421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-47880106500644500122009-12-05T20:18:00.901-07:002009-12-05T20:18:00.901-07:00Finally someone is going to investigate this. Finally someone is going to investigate this.RHSteeleOHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04437025595723578473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-21907738944968418432009-12-05T14:58:17.862-07:002009-12-05T14:58:17.862-07:00Cold Case Episode Synopsis: Team reopens 1975 case...Cold Case Episode Synopsis: Team reopens 1975 case of a creature named Quasi who was pushed by Rollo into a time hole.TV Guidenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-42356498593144419302009-12-05T14:06:23.011-07:002009-12-05T14:06:23.011-07:00...here I am, stuck in the middle with you.......here I am, stuck in the middle with you....Mean Jeanhttp://jeanprovost.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-91315650236798011872009-12-05T11:11:32.814-07:002009-12-05T11:11:32.814-07:00I've always loved carnival stuff too, Lisa. The first time I loved it, the second time I couldn't watch it.

One time I was at a small carnival in L.A. I was on one of those spinning rides which make me so dizzy with little daughter, no one else. When the ride operator saw I was having a rough time, he turned the speed UP and kept it running a LONG TIME. Monster. At same carnival in the spook house a real guy was running through it touching and scaring people.Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00874162149979602139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13524464.post-38040768524462317042009-12-04T21:48:10.831-07:002009-12-04T21:48:10.831-07:00I have a weird fascination with old carnival stuff...I have a weird fascination with old carnival stuff--it's just so freaky.
