Bye Bye Birdie

Look at the weird coloration coming in on our dove babies. The white one has this brown red across the front. There's a fancy dove people pay tons of money for called a bleeding heart, and this dove looks like a low rent version of one.

When I went out to put the chickens away just now, they were up tight against the wall in the bushes. I could pick them up like bowling balls rather than chase them all around the yard like I usually do. Then I looked up at the sky and a hawk was sitting on the wire, just waiting its chance.

Tomorrow I go to New Jersey to visit my mother again. I'll take my laptop along and maybe post from Meford, NJ.
