Sketch Pad

We'll see if this works. It's a nifty Flash Actionscript 3.0 sketchpad. I got the code here. It's open source from google, actually, but Henry Jones gives sense on how to implement it. However, 4/17) Henry Jones article seems to have vanished!

Here's a drawing I did before I'd uploaded it. You have to draw slowly to get decent line quality.

If it doesn't work I'll fool with it after lunch. If using firefox you have to enable popups. It really does download as a little jpeg. Maybe we should have a little contest. Tell me if it works for you.

It worked! It worked! This is very great. OK, will we have a corntest? How will it work?

What would the prize be?

I've got something further going on with a drag and drop scenario- let me see if I can get it to work. Kindles are not in stock so don't get your hopes up for that.

Works great! Can everybody else see if I draw something, or am I the only one who sees it and then we mail you the sketch?

p.s. cracking up at the dendrite name.

Not sure what you mean by kindles, well hey then what about a indian bead belt for prize?

The problem with belts is they're not one size fits all. But if they eat enough chocolate maybe one size will fit all. See my contest on Whinsey's blog.

Stray g, at this point no one sees your drawing. That would take more php than I'm currently capable of.

Fun! But it malfunctioned when I was down near the words and the pencil wouldn't stop.

mean jean, I had the same problem but I think it's fixed now. I wish your blog allowed comments. Those apples looked so wonderful. And that pansy you posted is a beauty.

Yeah, if the pencil gets stuck in "draw" mode just click somewhere so it can see you lift the pencil back up off of the paper again.

Otherwise, I maded this. :]

Oh Jesse, loverly.

Wait a minute. You can leave comments on Mean Jean's blog. I just left one on "Peanutbutter and Jelly #1."

Linda I think Sally was visiting my Traveling Grammy and Bompie blog. We had to stop the comments on it because people kept trying to fix my organ or sell me gold. I'm going to try drawing again.

Well pooey. I'm not anywhere near as smart as Jesse. I drew a stupendous portrait of V.P. Cheney and I can't figure out how to share it with the universe.

Jesse, that's very nice. mean jean, you can download the drawing to your computer- it comes out as a jpeg. Then you can do what you want with it. I'm trying to figure how to send it directly to a server.
