R.I.P. Pepper

I lost my beautiful chesnut horse today to complications from the snake bite. He was 25. If there were funerals for horses I'd have them play "Spirit in the Sky". Too emotional to write more about it now.

from an early horse show, around 1997.

Sally,
I was so sorry to hear the news about Pepper. From what I've read about him in the past he was a good horse and a good friend. So sad that you had to lose him so unexpectedly.

Oh, i'm so sorry. We all could tell he was a beloved member of your family, and he was well-loved from start to end. Poor Pepper!

I'm so sad. Those are stunningly beautiful photos. "Spirit in the Sky" has been playing in my mind since I read this. It may be a while, but when you get your voice back, tell us a Pepper personality story.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I'm still too shocked and sad to say much.

R.I.P. Pepper.
I lost my dog back in 2003 and still miss her, and I cherish the memories. I know the feeling.
Stay well, and we'll look forward to hearing from you again when you feel like it.

That horse was loved.

Thank you all for your support and comments. After a while I may be able to write about him, but it's still too raw. I received some incredibly beautiful and fragrant flowers which I have right by my desk.
