Hope this plays. My mother was an FDR supporter. She was attending Johns Hopkins U at night and it wasn't easy. She travelled around on a bus with a loudspeaker and gave speeches for FDR in Maryland. She gave the same speech every time they stopped. At one stop they heckled her because they'd already heard the speech. Another time, as she got on a streetcar to go home, she ran into a fussy relative who berated her, because "we've always been Republicans."
She's voting for Obama. She's 93. My father in law is 94 and he's voting for Obama too. Think about it.

Thanks for posting this, Sally. So glad I saw this first thing in the morning: what a great way to start the day!
For some reason I've remembered lately that my former boyfriend used to tell of campaigning door to door for McGovern on election day, not knowing the newscasters had already declared him the loser.
Did either of you see this article about an 109 year old who's voting for Obama? Her dad was born as a slave! He always encouraged her to vote. I bet he'd be proud of her.
SO great.
And he's talking about Dinah there at the end.
btw I like the little Halloween drawing on your website homepage.
glad you all enjoyed it. looking good for Obama as we head into Halloween. Did you see that McCain had to bus in 4000 students to his event, and then he asked Joe the Plumber to stand up and Joe hadn't shown up. oh dear.
