Krampus time

I think I've posted Krampus postcards before, the weird bad guy who travels with Santa in Germany. He's kind of cute in this pic. This year we're more or less ignoring Christmas, except having people for dinner, and a small tree to decorate.

But, but, I'm animating a song for you guys, just for you. It will probably get pulled off of youtube in a hurry because it's using a famous song, but I figure I'll have a few days before some copyright nut reports me. Since we have a monster storm due in tomorrow, I should be able to make a lot of progress, so stay tuned.

Are you doing the recession xmas this year too? or kwanzaa or hanukkah?

Yes, recession for us, too. Very minimal! No shopping.

Woo! New animation! Please do let us know as soon as it's posted so I can see it before the Copyright Squad remove it.

Also, I love the Krampus for some odd reason. In this picture he looks like the goofy fuzzy gremlin from the Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet."

Last year my friends and I did a Christmas special of our odd little series of videos, "Big Evil Bob." I had wanted to do more with the Krampus in it, but we just didn't have the time. Our Santa Claus (an unconventionally violent one) mentions rather obscurely that he "gave the Krampus the year off" so he could assault the title character himself. I was happy to give the Krampus a little shoutout at least.

Christmas is about the same for my family this year. I've still got some shopping left to do myself, but overall I feel this has been one of my better years for actually finding stuff people would want.

He is kind of cute in this pic. A slight resemblance to Parviz Musharraf (sp?) ...

I'm so excited about the animation just for us. I hope you keep your power during the storm so you can work away on it.

Having people for dinner and a small tree makes the best xmas. Yes, we're recessioning here for sure.

Krampus looks almost cuddly in this one!
Am looking forward to a new animation!

I've been to cheap/lazy to put up a tree or decorations for the last few years.

My family is going to Las Vegas for Christmas. If I don't start winning, I'll spend the vacation in my room making a flash animation. Whoohooo!

Namo, I can't tell you how much I envy you: spending your vacation in a hotel room doing a flash animation sounds perfect.

I thought Krampus looked quite sweet too. Glad to hear you're going ahead with the animation, Namowal!

I just noticed there's a kid on the outskirts that seems to be unhappy. Perhaps he was a bad kid and got whipped, while the good kids got treats.

I see what you mean, Namowal. At first I thought they were feeding the Krampus, but the one off left looks recently spanked.
