Wacky Days of LP covers



This is a detail from an album cover: Les Baxter Space Escapade." You can see it on ebay. We were listening to it last night. The music didn't do much for me, but the cover was quite amazing.

And notice how the girl resembles the tunaphone below!

I love this album! The music is a mix of soothing space-scapes and funky energy-filled drum bits. More fun from the guy who brought you the Lassie Theme!

I remember in days of album covers I'd spend long hours just looking at covers for the great art and inspiration.

I really miss albums, I remember going to record store and looking at album covers all the time.

Um, is it me or did anyone else notice that something is really awry in his spacesuit.

I agree with RHSteeleOH and Sally that the big albums lps came in were cool. The shrinked down versions on cd packages don't do them justice.
