We took a three hour hike looping from our house this morning, and we must have seen 70 elk in groups of 6 to 20. It was astonishing. We found a meadow we hadn't explored before and it was elk paradise.

This is the same shot but at a greater distance. I was surprised how shaggy they were.

Molly loves all the impromptu ponds. There's been thunderstorms every day, and we got soaked in one today because I believed the weather prediction that today the rain would stop. We saw a dozen turkeys too but they ran off before we got their picture.
