When I was walking Molly this morning I came upon a trainer and his student. He was a boxing trainer and they were exchanging fake blows and doing the boxing dance in the grass. Molly did NOT like this at all. Her parents are both working police dogs.
I could barely pull her past these two guys. She wasn't growling but she was really concerned, as if she felt somebody needed to step in and handle this disorderly situation. "Woof, I mean What seems to be the problem here?"
I got a new camera, Sony's latest Cyber-shot, and am trying to make sense of it. It seems easier to understand than other Sony's I've had and dropped. It actually has a pet setting! That's what I used for this photo. No idea what it's doing for pets. It also has a smile detector.

That's fascinating about Molly being so upset about the fake fight. She has a built-in moral compass. She looks gorgeous in the photo.

I hate having my picture taken, yet I always look for myself when looking at family pictures.
Which Sony? Mine's the 230. I only just now learned how to shoot several quickly in a burst! Critical for dogs.
Molly was probably thinking Doesn't Sally KNOW that there's a fight going on? How could she miss that?"
As for the camera, I'm curious about the pet setting too. That'd be funny if it somehow hyptnotized pets into holding still long enough to snap a picture.
It's funny, Molly isn't really a smiling dog the way some dogs are. But the smile detector is only supposed to work for humans.
I noticed a picture I took of a white chicken had feathers delineated.
This camera has so many different logos on it but I think it's called VCHD. It's a point and shoot with a 10x optical zoom.
Trust me this isn't one of those sponsored product blog posts. It's a very light weight camera, and when you switch around to all the various options a big print explanation pops up on the back screen. Before you had to remember what the symbols stood for. I always gave up and just used auto. We got it for our trip to Italy. You can take weird sweeping panoramic pictures with it but they'd only be about a half inch high to fit on this blog.
Mine only has 3x zoom.
stray, considering how important photos are for your dog portraits, I think you need to be looking for a new camera before an ipad enters the house.
Was that strictly Molly instinct or a Molly-had-a-wee-bit of training? If she ever gets tired of being a dog, she can be a behavioral therapist. She'd make me want to behave.

Boodababy, it's part of what German Shepherds do instinctively. She's got great nerves and sympathy.
