Quasi on Futurama

Several nice web friends have pointed out to me that a clip from "Quasi at the Quackadero" is in the movie "Futurama" which came out recently. I found out I was paid for the use of the clip and that's even nicer!

Please don't go just to see this! I imagine it's just a quick clip on a zoom in through the city, something like that. It's at the beginning. There are a couple of sequels to this movie, and this is the latest one, not sure the number.

(Breaks his blog-silence that began strangely before the election.)

WOO!

I can't wait to get the new Futurama movie! I'm so happy they brought this show back. It boggles the mind that Fox could cancel Futurama (and now King of the Hill, apparently) and yet continue to show Family Guy and every other crappy non-idea for a cartoon show Seth Macfarlene pulls out of his...

I've been meaning to buy "The Beast with a Billion Backs" since July, but, like many things, my spending money and release dates of things I want to use it on never seem to synch up how I plan. Then I found out they came out with the new one, "Bender's Game." I plan to try and snag these on "Black Friday," the mall sale at 4 or 5 in the morning on the day after Thanksgiving.

Futurama+Quasi=Gold. (In a weird way, Futurama's setting and futuristic appliances remind me a little of those in Quasi, I wonder if there's some conscious influence there. Did you know Al Gore's daughter is one of the writers?)

I hadn't realized Bender's Game was out until just last night, and then Quasi gets the Planet Express crashed into him.

Aww Sally, doncha like Futurama? :D

I like Futurama cause they paid me. I've never seen it though.

In every episode of Futurama, and now each of the movies, the credits follow the Planet Express spaceship flying through the city of New New York. For a brief moment the big screen at times square (ironically a giant, round CRT) plays a clip from an old-ish cartoon — normally black and white, quite often Max Flieshman — just before the Planet Express ship unceremoniously crashes into it.

You should netflix the tv series, Season one and check it out from the start. If you enjoy contemporary cartoons at all then I'm sure you'll like this one. Or if you're a damn, dirty pirate like me and Linda, you could find it on tvtorrents.com ;3

Yar, har, fiddle-dee-dee! :D
