ambitious dream

I had a dream last night that I had a job selling a product called Nutritious Oil . (hey, catchy name that!) I was selling it door to door. It came in a spray foam bottle.

You could spray it on any food and turn that food into something nutritious. It was a white foam. But best of all, it doubled as an all purpose cleaner.

What the brain does...

Image is a tiny watercolor sketch for "Quasi at the Quackadero" that I came upon today while looking for something else. You can see how influenced I was by carnival and circus poster art from a long time ago.

Is it like reddi-wip?

This is a wonderful watercolor, too. You said "tiny." How big is "tiny"? Do you often do watercolor sketches for your cartoons?

What a wonderful watercolor!

I'm a student at the University of Michigan currently writing an essay on independent American animated shorts of the 1970's - so of course you are very much included. (Maybe I'll send it your way when I'm happy with it). It's so great to see this original art pop up to greet me in the morning as I check my usual blogs.

Take care,

Stray beat me to it.
I was going to ask "...but when you turn it upside down can you talk to Mr. Snozzi?"

This has cartoon potential!

As others pointed out, the watercolor is lovely. The bright colors, whimsical details, the carnival-esque words: "Amazing! Unforgettible!"

RHSteele, thanks for my first order. It's foamier than reddi-whip, stray.

That's one of only two or three sketches I did. I'll post the other one now.

Brendt, feel free to email me if you want any information.

Nam, there was an article in the L.A. Times this week about a 90 year old Fuller Brush man who's still making the rounds. Guess it impressed my subconscious.
