I Phone Idea

What do you think? I got this idea in the middle of the night last night and couldn't wait to try coding it.

Let me know if you have ideas for improvement. The horses she's mentioning are really running and I'm not the one who chooses them, they're Whinsey's idea.

(All done with php and mirrors.)

Tell me if the font on top matches the one in the racing tip. I'm not finished with this, just testing to see if it seems to work. You can't chat with her-- just get your racing tip and check back tomorrow to see if she was right or not.

Think this might be one of those iphone ideas? But they still don't do Flash, do they?

I love this. But just one pick? Whinsey is on to something. Win place or show? Or just, she likes....hmmmm....does Whinsey place the exotice bets?...and you'll keep track of her results. Katy

All right! There we go! Type matches and everything; this is a GREAT idea. Take it down immediately and get over to:

I want one NOW! NOW NOW NOW.

I wondered if more of a "game" could be made of it--but then I thought maybe this is enough; it's kind of like one of those magic 8 balls you ask a question and shake...

or those things Buddhas throw--the golden coins--the IChing!

Wait! That's it! iChing for iPhone!

We'll have to see how she does in the morning. As it is I see it's kind of swamping my blog, so doubt my handcoding would make it as an iphone app.

Let's see if she picks Aggie Engineer in the morning, a horse who's won for me a couple of times.

I didn't think of it as a game so much as a RESOURCE! I need to set it up so her sentence structure varies, and one of these days I should actually attack the animation too.

This is interesting. I wonder if you'd want to work with people who work up mathematical formulas for such things?

The picks aren't random. They just aren't generated by me. That's where the php comes in.

Clever stuff.
To think I bought Betting on Horse Racing for Dummies recently. I didn't know Whensey would be giving tips.

Namowal, that's a great book! The only for dummies book I can approve of, and I tech edited the Flash one for a couple of years.
