Another tough dog from long ago

As I was looking through the giant pile of cd-roms to find replacement software for my old computer, I came upon a cd of this photograph.

I sold this on ebay about six years ago. A bidding war ensued and it sold for more than $700. It wasn't much bigger than a postcard. Two women who both loved pitbulls were battling. You may not be able to tell, but the girl's holding a pistol and the pitbull has his, uh, lipstick showing.

While trying to revive my laptop I've come upon all sorts of weird solutions that people say work, like "Turn it on, put it in a plastic bag, then cover it with several towels. Wait 45 minutes, turn it off, then turn it on again and hold down the j-k-l keys." Not the h-e-l-p keys?

It didn't work. People are trying to put together a class action suit for this particular hp tablet laptop.

Maybe they figured, well, if it gets a bundt cake unstuck, it'll get a laptop unstuck too.

Computers are such a hassle when they break down!

But all these peeps were posting, "Thanks so much, it worked for me."

Another choice was to get a hair dryer and blast it for half an hour. Idea is to melt some solder within.

This is a pretty incredible post card. Where did you find it?

Love the dog photo. This post reminds me of an episode of the Dick van Dyke show (a gag about how to fix the caller's telephone). "Put everything in the bag, the phone and everything, then go out on your lawn, wave the bag over your head, and SCREAM LIKE A CHICKEN!!

A hairdryer?
Again, if it gets a bundt cake unstuck from the pan...

I'll mention this solution next time a computer breaks down at work.

The word verification freaks me out when posting, they always spell a word that's not a word. I should make a list.

That photo is so strong in so many ways. I like the way both the faces are cocked...

Hey, RH, wouldn't it be fun to write a poem using the word verifications!

That dog looks like Petey (Our Gang) without the black circle over one eye.

Linda, I think I got it at the Alameda flea market long ago.

Maybe I'll try taking off the word verification but last time I did that the Japanese porn spammers were back at it.

Mean Jean, he does look like Petey.

Sally, I remember going to a flea market in the east bay somewhere with you long ago, or maybe it was just to some junk shops searching for old photos. Looks as though you have found some great ones.

yeah, I used to have that collector fever.
