Sketchbook Pro
I have a trial version of Sketchbook Pro starting today. This is the first picture I've drawn with it. Definitely captures my not quite with the season mood.
The program seems quite nice actually. I figured it out enough in five minutes to get started, and the colors are more fun to play with than what I'm used to. I believe it's rather expensive but I haven't checked the price yet. It wasn't much more complicated than graffiti, at least to start out with.
Add to that Dinah just called and probably won't get home for Christmas because her horse developed an abcess in her hoof, which requires daily attention. It used to be you had to put your horse's hoof in a bucket twice a day, now you wrap a diaper soaked in cayenne mixture. The cayenne is so the goats won't eat the diaper.

I'm very happy you're drawing again!!
Goats will eat anything I've heard, even tin cans. Do they still make tin cans?
No more word verification? Seems like only yesterday it was there.
I like the sketch. It expresses the Holiday Blues well.
It can be a challenging time of year in normal circumstances. It gets dark by 5 p.m. It's cold. There's a zillion things on the to do list to keep track of. And things can go wrong too. The car breaks down. The computer plays dead. Someone's hacked into your account. Things come up. People get sick. People get hurt. Or act screwy.
To this add the constant reminder- from muzak to decorations to junk mail that it's such a wonderful time of year. Yikes!
Well, I love that sketch. And I hate it that things are looking so dreary. What do you mean when you say the colors are more fun to play with than what you're used to? Are you comparing it with Painter? Photoshop?
The software Tom uses (Revit) is made by Autodesk, the same company that makes Sketchbook Pro.
RHSteeleOH, actually I've learned they aren't interested in the cans but the glue on the cans from the labels.
The thing about the color is it's easy to add gray to it so it isn't blasting out those web safe intense colors.
Glad you liked the sketch.
Love this drawing, Sally. It has a very human mood about it. Well done.
thanks, Jane.
