It works! It works! Great sound effects. The black frame is fun (with the eyeballs on top). I really like the colors when Whinsey first appears on the the phone.
p.s. Did this happen to you? I love it when someone you're talking to hangs up--or they think they've hung up, but they haven't really hung up and if you're interested you can listen in and see what happens next. Maybe they'll say something nice about you, or maybe they'll say, "What a big pest!" But you have to make sure you're not the one who thinks she's hung up but hasn't.
WAIT A MINUTE!! What kind of phone did you get? Did you get it so you could tweet? Do you text?
I got going on it after seeing Julia and Julie and the obnoxious blogger who wiggles her spoon while talking, one of my pet peeves. So many pets...
Not actually Whinsey. Not crazy about the colors. But it's easy to go back in Flash and pick a color and replace it in all its instances. It was fun to animate it loosely, not using the Flash symbols much, ie individual parts being manipulated.
We got a droid phone yesterday. I'm taking it to the track today.
It's always weird when the phone rings and I just hear the change jiggling around in my husband's pocket as he's walking around and he doesn't realize he accidentally called me.
Not only did I really really like this, but I got the biggest kick out of all the comments. Linda made me laugh, genuinely, out loud. I have a cell phone, of course, but I rarely use it, so I enjoy the schadenfreude of others' misadventures. Very VERY fun character, btw.
I got Animate Pro about a month ago. It demands so much more of me (please. I could do Flash in my sleep) but gotta say the results are QUITE a bit better. sigh. Progress, and all that.
Sally: Good point about the work - although they put it on sale for 25% off which makes it a weeeee bit more affordable.
If you ever really need anything popped in 3D space - easily, I mean - just let me know. (I'm definitely still learning this, BUT ...) that's the part where it shines. Kind of a mix of Flash and After Effects, but way more easy than AE and harder than Flash.)

Sweet stuff!
Makes me homesick for flash (I've been working overtime so I haven't been playing with it as much as I'd like).
Did I ever tell you I like the sliding (or sometimes rolling) eyes of your animated characters?
Will this be part of a series?

Very SC. Looks good, and works well on my computer. Good theme, the cell phone world.

Booda baby, just looked at the animate pro site, $1999? eek. You work so it's justified, but that's out of my range.
